Just because we can't visit the Caribbean - it doesn’t mean you can’t experience the CARIBBEAN (or an Embassy Event)
On Saturday, December 6th, ring in the holidays in the part of the world that cannot be beaten in their style of celebration. The Caribbean arrives right into your living room with a very interactive cultural experience and celebration!
The Spirit of the Bahamas Barbados, Jamaica, and the Virgin Islands come alive with a multi-faceted party that will offer you Caribbean cooking lessons, mixology, video, and a dance party with lessons!
Plus, we will break out interactive rooms during the evening to offer some special Caribbean games, trivia, and a one on one experience with your fellow revelers!
Featuring:
1) CELEBRITY CARIBBEAN COOKING CLASS
Begin the festivities tonight with an amazing Caribbean cooking class from a master chef. From A to Z, he will walk you through the steps to create a phenomenal Jamaican style meal (main course and dessert).
2) CARIBBEAN MIXOLOGY BARTENDER
Incredible performance and class from one of the Caribbean’s best bartenders! From last year's Embassy Chef Challenge, comes the award-winning bartender from Barbados! Learn which rums and other cocktails will bring you (metaphorically) right to the beaches of the Caribbean through taste and style! We will learn how to mix incredible drinks and hear incredible Caribbean bartending stories!
3) CARIBBEAN DJ - DJ PUMPKIN
This isn’t a simple night where you watch a DJ mix music and stare at his talents. Barbados native DJ Pumpkin will get you off you seats and into a live, interactive dancing party! He’ll play music from many different islands, and showcase different styles of celebration. As you dance, you will deal the sand beneath your feet and the warmth of the friendly nature of your fellow revelers (even if virtually)
4) CARIBBEAN DIPLOMATIC GREETING
We will have a special interaction with Q & A with senior diplomats from Caribbean countries.
5) BREAKOUT ROOMS
At some point during the evening, we will break out into smaller rooms and offer you the chance to chat one on one with your new friends. Share stories about part Caribbean experiences, get ideas, and perhaps make new friends that can last a lifetime.
6) WIN A TRIP TO JAMAICA:
During the evening, we will host a drawing for one lucky attendee to win a trip to Jamaica (Air and 2 Night Hotel)
7) CARIBBEAN OUTFIT CONTEST AND EXPERIENCE
This part is UP TO YOU! If you have any special outfits, mementos, and anything you may have that represents the Caribbean, please showcase them tonight!
