Just because we can’t visit Africa, it doesn’t mean you can’t experience Africa!
On Saturday, September 12, bring the African Continent right into your living room with a very interactive cultural experience and celebration!
The Spirit of Africa comes alive with a multi-faceted party that will offer you African cooking lessons, mixology, video, live music, and a dance party with lessons!
Plus, we will break out interactive rooms during the evening to offer some special games, trivia and a one on one experience with your fellow revelers!
Featuring:
1) AFRICAN COOKING CLASS :
Begin the festivities tonight with an amazing cooking class highlighting special African cuisines. From A to Z, our chef will walk you through the steps to create a phenomenal African style meal (main course and dessert).
2) AFRICAN BARTENDER
Learn which wines and other cocktails will bring you (metaphorically) right to the African soil via taste and style! We will learn how to mix incredible drinks and hear incredible African bartending stories!
3) LIVE AFRICAN MUSIC
Native performers representing different African countries (from North to South), will perform a special concert of African songs. Some require unique instruments that will hilight different regional cultural phenomenons.
4) AFRICAN DJ
This isn’t a simple night where you watch a DJ mix music and stare at his talents. Tonight’s DJ will get you off your seats and into a live, interactive dancing party! He’ll play music from many different countries, and showcase different styles of celebration. As you dance, you will deal the sand beneath your feet and the warmth of the friendly nature of your fellow revelers (even if virtually)
5) AFRICAN DIPLOMATIC GREETING
We will have a special interaction with Q & A with senior diplomats from African countries.
6) BREAKOUT ROOMS – TRIVIA
At some point during the evenng, we will break out into smaller rooms and offer you the chance to chat one on one with your new friends. Share stories about past African experiences, get ideas, and perhaps make new friends that can last a lifetime.
An African Trivia Contest will take place among many teams. The first-place team will get a prize!
7) WIN A TRIP TO JAMAICA:
During the evening, we will host a drawing for one lucky attendee to win a trip to Jamaica (Air and 2 Night Hotel)
8) AFRICAN OUTFIT CONTEST AND EXPERIENCE
This part is UP TO YOU! If you have any special outfits, mementos, and anything you may have that represents any African country, please showcase them tonight!
