Want to travel to Austria for the holidays? Ready to toast in the season in the backyard of Mozart, Schubert and Strauss? Celebrate the holidays with us in one of the most exciting venues in DC.

Don your best outfits and be transported to one of the most beautiful and admired countries in all of Europe as we bring together the glory of Old Austria with the allure of Modern Western Europe. From the music of the Austrian master composers to a late-night European-style DJ playing your favorite hits, this Austrian Ball has something for everyone. Also, be on the lookout for Santa.

Help contribute to the toy drive with Toys for Tots by bringing an unwrapped toy with you.

FEATURING:

1) SPECIAL CAROLERS GREETING:

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by Holiday carolers singing Christmas, Chanukah, and Seasonal Favorites to get you into the spirit (both in English and German).

2) AUSTRIAN/HOLIDAY OPEN BAR:

Partake in a full evening of an open bar consisting of the finest wines and beers found in the best of the Austrian vineyards! Bar consists of Wine, Beer, and Non alcoholic beverages – plus a special Austrian cocktail - Glühwein - to welcome in the holidays.

3) HOLIDAY OPERA PRESENTATION

As we are in the land of the greatest classical composers, tonight you will be treated to samples of the greatest holiday opera pieces to spotlight the glory of the holiday season.  (Christmas and Chanukah pieces).

4) HOLIDAY BALLROOM DANCING:

An 18th Century European Winter Ball Setting! Waltz to the sounds of Strauss, Mozart, Lehar, Waldteufel, Stolz, and others performed. We will also feature other ballroom dances for true enthusiasts. (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.)

5) VIENNESE MUSICAL AND DANCE PRESENTATION:

Marvel at a fantastic waltz presentation set to the Blue Danube or the Emperor's Waltz by Strauss.

6) BALLROOM DANCE LESSON AND GRAND MARCH:

Local Ballroom Dance Masters will be on hand at the ball. They will lead you in the Grand March to the famous Radetzky March of Johann Strauss Sr. They will also l demonstrate a beautiful Viennese waltz before offering a special refresher dance lesson.

7) AUSTRIAN NIGHTLIFE:

In the latter part of the evening, we will visit the greatest Austrian nightclubs as Washington, D.C.'s greatest D.J.s deliver us the best top 40 American, European, and Holiday hits to welcome in the season!

8)  AUSTRIAN HOLIDAY DESSERT BUFFET  (VIP Option Below will Full Menu Options)

If you ever strolled through an Austrian marketplace and looked in the store windows you can't help but be tempted by those delectable desserts, and we'll have them for you to enjoy tonight as well: Linzer tortes, hazelnut tortes, Viennese apple tarts, Austrian white and dark chocolate Florentines, and bittersweet Austrian chocolate squares dusted with confectioner's sugar. Enjoy an evening buffet of these tantalizing Austrian delights, all as if picked from the best pastry shops in Austria.

9) AUSTRIAN MOVIE:

For your potential traveling and cultural interests, enjoy an optional viewing of the scenery, culture and people of Austria.

10) CHARITY TOY DRIVE with TOYS FOR TOTS:

Help TTD spread joy to children this year. Marines from Toys for Tots will be on hand for collection. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy.

11) DIPLOMATIC GREETING:

Meet some of Austria's top diplomats who have come to welcome you to the embassy and celebrate the holidays with you.

12) ...AND A VISIT BY SANTA:

Santa will come to take pictures and to tell you about how HE is celebrated in Austria!

VIP OPTION:  For a little extra royalty this evening, you will get:
- Early Admission to the Gala (7:00 PM);
- Private Champagne Reception;
