Just because we can’t travel to Mexico in 2020, it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate Dia De Los Muertos in an exciting virtual world!

On November 7, celebrate the Mexican holiday in which the souls of the dead are allowed to return to the world of the living and visit their families.

From the comforts of your own living room celebrated a multi-faceted presentation of the Day of the Dead celebrations!   

FEATURING:

1) MEXICAN COOKING DEMONSTRATION: 

Begin the festivities tonight with an amazing Mexican cooking class from a professional Mexican chef.   From A to Z, he will walk you through the steps to create a phenomenal Mexican style meal traditionally prepared for the holiday

2)  MIXOLOGY BARTENDER

Learn which tequilas and other drinks can be prepared and takes you straight to the heart of Mexican City, or to the beaches of Cancun through taste and style!  We will learn how to mix incredible drinks and hear incredible Mexican bartending stories!


3) LIVE MEXICAN DANCE AND SHOW

Via Zoom, we will be joined by live Mexican musicians and dancers who will highlight both the Aztec legends and modern Mexican folklore - including a special performance commemorating the Day of the Dead!    A special treat from Master Harpist musician - Maestro Delfino Guerrero, very well known all over Mexico, who  will be joining the live event  - straight from Veracruz-Mexico -  to perform several songs

4) DAY OF THE DEAD LIVE MARIACHI MUSIC AND LIVE DANCE PERFORMANCE:
To commemorate the spirit of Día de los Muertos, you’ll experience a live costumed Mariachi troupe with music and dancing. Its members have origins from all over Mexico and other parts of Latin America.

5) DAY OF THE DEAD GREETING

We will have a special interaction with Q & A members of the Mexican community to discuss the true meaning of the holiday

6) WIN A TRIP TO MEXICO

A special drawing will take place for all attendees as one person will win hotel accommodations and plane to Mexico!

7) MASQUERADE CONTEST!

Tonight, we will pick three winners (one on Mexican themed, one on scariness, and one on originality Winner will receive prizes.

8) DJ AND LATE NIGHT DANCING:
One of Washington, D.C.’s best D.J.s will rival the best nightclubs in Cancun with both American and Mexican pop music and dancing. Includes modern high energy, Retro, Salsa, today’s top 40 hits, and much more!


9) Optional BREAKOUT ROOMS

At the end of the event, if you would like to speak to other attendees, we will break out into smaller rooms and offer you the chance to chat one on one with your new friends.  Share stories about some of your own Mexican experiences, get ideas, and perhaps make new friends that can last a lifetime.
