Just because we can’t travel so easily to Munich doesn’t mean that the spirit of Germany doesn’t still live alive in 2020!
On September 26th, we will re-create a virtual Bavarian experience and Oktoberfest tent as Embassy Experiences invites you to virtually celebrate a special cultural evening.
From the comforts of your own living room celebrated a multi-faceted presentation of Oktoberfest!
FEATURING:
1) GERMAN COOKING DEMONSTRATION:
Begin the festivities tonight with an amazing Bavarian cooking class from a professional native chef. From A to Z, he will walk you through the steps to create a phenomenal Oktoberfest style meal traditionally prepared for the holiday
2) OKTOBERFEST BREWERY LESSON
Learn the brewmaster secrets behind Germany's best beers.
3) LIVE GERMAN/OKTOBERFEST MUSIC AND DANCE
Via Zoom, we will be joined by live German musicians and dancers who will highlight the celebration. They will teach us some Oktoberfest favorites so we can sing along with our own beer at home. In addition, native dancers will perform Oktoberfest dances and teach us some movies we can even do at home!
4) GERMAN GREETING
We will have a special interaction with Q & A members of the German embassy.
5) LEDERHOSEN COMPETITION
Come in traditional Oktoberfest fashion (or create one of your own) as we will host a competition for the best outfit! Prizes awarded!
6) LATE NIGHT DJ AND DANCING
Towards the end of the evening. a DJ will take over playing top 40 American (and Oktoberfest) hits for late night dancing!
7) Optional BREAKOUT ROOMS
At the end of the event, if you would like to speak to other attendees, we will break out into smaller rooms and offer you the chance to chat one on one with your new friends. Share stories about some of your own Oktoberfest (or German) experiences, get ideas, and perhaps make new friends that can last a lifetime.
All Zoom links and invitations will be sent out a few minutes before the event (to ensure only registrants attend). They will be sent to the email address you use to register for the event.
