It is one of the America’s closest friends in Latin America.   Colombia is a country that embraces a spirit of warmth, elegance, beauty and adventure like no other.

Tonight, the ambassador is opening up his home for an exclusive visit for our members.   It is a chance to meet with the diplomats from the embassy, taste Colombian cuisine, experience Colombian culture, and marvel at the beauty of this unique residence!

FEATURING:

1) DIPLOMATIC GREETING:

His Excellency Ambassador Francisco Santos Calderón will personally welcome you to his home and offer a remarks about his country. The embassy will also invite other diplomats from different departments of the embassy to meet and greet you and to answer any questions that you may have.

2) COLOMBIA FOOD PREPARED BY THE OFFICIAL EMBASSY CHEF:

Tonight’s dinner comes not an outside caterer, but the hand-picked Colombian chef who cooks exclusively for the ambassador and the embassy!   Enjoy samples of exciting native Colombian food with desserts. These recipes are famous in Bogotá, Cartagena, and many regions of the country.

3) COLOMBIAN WINE& REFRESHMENTS:

A special taste of Colombian wine, beer, and other nonalcoholic drinks.

4) EXCLUSIVE COLOMBIAN MUSICAL (AND DANCE) PERFORMANCE

Experience the music of special Colombian performers.  We will hear a special concert of Colombian music, representing different eras and different regions of their country.  If there is enough enthusiasm, our musicians will step up their performance to teach and encourage Colombian dancing!

5) COLOMBIAN ART:

Throughout this beautiful residence, we will experience Colombian painting and artifacts.

6) COLOMBIAN FILM:

Experience a film showcasing the beauty and culture of Colombia.

Because of the nature of the event, we are limiting the number of people who attend.   So, early registration is encouraged.

Note:  This event is not being organized by the embassy   ALl funds collected are going to help with the expenses of the event and are not going to the embassy at all.  The embassy is not receiving any profit or funds towards this event.
