Tonight, at the special invitation of the Embassy, join us as we step out of Washington, D.C. and onto Slovak soil for an evening rich in the Old World traditional ways of Eastern and Central Europe with a special visit to the Embassy of Slovakia.
Extra special is the presence of the Native Slovakian Band - SILBAND! Tonight is their only D.C. performance before flying back to Slovakia the next day!
During our visit to Slovakia, we will experience the following:
(A) SLOVAK FOOD PREPARED BY THE EMBASSY CHEF:
Specially prepared Slovak Meal for TTD members by the Embassy's top native Slovak Chef.
Cold appetizers (Greek salad, ham, cheese)
Smoked salmon with lemon
Mozzarella with tomatoes
Chicken medallions with vegetables on butter and rice
Grilled salmon
Chocolate rolls
Slovak Strudl
(B) SLOVAK BAR:
Enjoy a wide variety of the best in authentic Slovak wines and other beverages.
(C) NATIVE SLOVAK PERFORMANCE BY SILBAND:
In town for tonight only, we will get a rare concer by this visiting fFolk band from Slovakia. Traditional music instruments are used in untypical connection of a several music styles. You can see an unpredictable performance full of surprising sounds and virtuosity. Their interpretations conjure up special images of Bratislava Castle, the Danube, and the High Tratas. (D) SLOVAK FILM:
View an optional film highlighting the attractions, people, and culture of the Slovak Republic.
(E) DIPLOMATIC GREETING:
Slovak diplomats have been invited to meet and greet you and to answer any questions that you may have. At present we have invited the Ambassador and are anticipating his enthusiastic attendance.

You will be awed by the numerous native Slovak art and/or photos available for your study and viewing pleasure.
