 Take in the rich customs of the Slovenian people and savor the hospitality in the Slovenian embassy in Kalorama one of the most beautiful parts of Washington DC.

Tonight, we present  gastronomy of Slovenia with a special  focus on wines.  From the Old Vine, the world's oldest vine (https://maribor-pohorje.si/worlds-oldest-vine0.aspx) to the oldest wine cellar in Slovenia.  Visitng Slovenian wine connoisseurs will be on hand to introduce us to a special tasting of rare Slovenian wines not readily available in the United States. 

FEATURING:

1) SLOVENIAN WINE TASTING 

Sample a variety of Slovenian wine as well as other refreshments (beer and nonalcoholic drinks).  Instructors visiting from Slovenia will be on hand to teach us the basic of wine tasting, as well as how to enjoy the unique distinctions from some of the oldest European cellar. 

Light appetizers and desserts will be served as well. 
        
2) SLOVENIAN DIPLOMATIC GREETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR:

Meet the Ambassador and his diplomats as they welcome you to the embassy with a special greeting.

3) SLOVENIAN ART EXHIBITION: 

Exhibition about "History of Slovenian Comics" by well-known Slovenian artists Nejc Juren and Izar Lunaček will be displayed at the Embassy. 

4) SLOVENIAN FILM: 
Enjoy a special film highlighting the scenery, culture and people of Slovenia.
