Deep in Southern Africa is the exciting and beautiful country of Botswana. 

Botswana is a country of majestic cities, vast desert, and wetlands. A large array of unique wildlife can be seen in the large national parks and game reserves    At the same time, there is a fantastic culture among the Tswana, Bushmen and other tribes.

Tonight, journey with H.E. Ambassador David John Newman to Botswana without ever leaving the District as we invite you to dance onto foreign soil for a very special African cultural evening at the Embassy of Botswana. 

Featuring: 

A) AMBASSADOR’S GREETING: 

Meet Ambassador Newman and the rest of the diplomatic staff from Botswana who will be on hand to address the group and answer any questions you may have. 

B) BOTSWANA FOOD: 

Enjoy an incredible Botswana dinner buffet - prepared by the native chefs of the Embassy. 

C) OPEN WINE BAR: 

Partake in the best and most unique wines commonly found in Southern Africa. Non alcoholic drinks are also provided.

D) BOTSWANA ART: 

The embassy has arranged for the presentation of special African artifacts and paintings unseen to most Americans' eyes. The embassy staff will be on hand to personally discuss the art's origins and meaning with you. 

E) BOTSWANA CULTURAL FILM: 

Films showcasing Botswana’s cities, landscapes, native peoples, and everyday life will be played in the embassy throughout the night.

Learn about the native dress commonly found among different regions of Botswana.
